Some insights about politics

I just got back from school and finished the Maths paper. It was ok, considering I'm so bad in Maths. It's worth all the calculating and studying! Haha.

Anyway, when I was en route to school this morning, I listened to hitz.fm and there was a hype about Barack Obama wining the presidential election. They even aired this so-american-background-music and a short part of he speech. Hmmmm... maybe it's just me, but I think that Malaysians over-reacted in this case. I know, it's a big deal, since he's going to be the president of such a powerful nation. But, come on la... Your own country also you cannot gau dim and you are now like mengagung-agungkan people's president. Ish. I just don't know how to describe it in words.

Even one day before the election when I watched the news on TV, there was this segment on who do Malaysians want the president to be. And as expected, most of them answered 'Obama'. And one even said, and I quote, "I think I would like to see Obama win. He is very honest, generous, and he is such a good leader. I think he is also very responsible, hardworking... yada...yada...". I mean, hello? Are you sleeping underneath his bed? How come you know so much about him? Or you guys have some sort of relationship ah? Weird.
Anyway, perhaps it's a good start as well for them to have the first coloured president. This shows that democracy has really taken place, unlike here at home, where I am given no choice to decide on how much pocket money I get each month! Grrrrrr!!!
