Evacuation in 45 minutes!

Today is a crazy day! I woke up at around 9.30 am and went to the college at around 10 am to collect my receipt. Then I just went to another hostel to check if they have already put my name under the waiting list for the rooms there were full the last time I contacted them.

Then they just told me they have already prepared a room for me. I asked if I could move in immediately and she said YES! Woohoo! I was so thrilled and happy. Even happier than the time I got back my SPM results slip back. Why? This is because the previous hostel was well, it's clean of course, but the thought of having to share the bathrooms with soooooo many people just freaks me out. And then, when night comes, fuiyoh... I went to bed at 11 pm but even until 2 am I still couldn't sleep. Why? Because just across my room is this freaking highway and even until past midnight, it's still full of cars. Every 10 seconds, you could hear a "zoooooommmm" going pass the road. Well, here. It's better I think. Brighter, nearer to the shops. And well, there is an attached bathroom for each room. So, still okay la...

Anyway, I had so many bags to bring over to my new hostel today. So much so that the taxi driver asked me,"Waaa... Kamu pindah seluruh rumahkah?! Banyaknya barang!" Yup, there is really a lot of stuff. Luckily the security guard and the mak cik at the previous hostel were kind enough to help me carry all my stuff to the taxi. Then when I finally arrived at my new hostel, I was a bit frustrated on how to bring the bags up to the fourteenth floor at first. But, once again, I'm lucky enough to have met another few kind people. A boy, whom I think is somewhere from the middle east, another Indonesian girl, whom I later found out is just staying in front of my room and the security guard. Anyway, have I told you guys that I actually got this taxi driver from another place because it's very hard to get cabs from my previous hostel? And at that time I haven't even packed my stuff yet. He was kind enough to wait for me for 45 minutes in the mamak stall nearby. Yup, I packed ALL my stuff in just 45 minutes! I think I might do well if someday I plan to flee to some other places in a matter of minutes! Haha. Anyway, I'm really grateful that God helped me so much so that I can meet a few good Samaritans while I was moving into the new hostel.

My roommate from my previous hostel is moving in to the new hostel as well. She said that she could not stand any longer living there. She's now staying in the 18th floor. At first she called my roommate to see if they can change rooms so that she can stay with me. I wonder how she got her phone number but anyway, both of them are studying the same course. So I guess that is how she got her number. But my current roommate said that she just unpacked everything yesterday so she didn't want to swap rooms with her. So, fine for me anyway. Both are fine and friendly. But the previous one seems... errr.... cuter in personality? I guess so. Anyway, I hope that when college starts on Wednesday, things will just get much better!

Till next time! Tata!

Happy 2009!!!

Hi everyone!!! I hope it's not too late to say Happy New Year now! Hehe. Well, I've been busy for the past few days. Busy preparing preparations for college. Well, so far, everything has been fine. Housemates are friendly and helpful. Just that I dislike the area that I'm now staying at. The surrounding is full of roads and the room that I'm staying at is just in front of a highway. Very, seriously, noisy. I don't know how to take the transports from this area and the hostel looks... well... dark? I don't know. But one thing for sure is I'm going to switch hostel as soon as possible, to the more litted area. And of course, a place with more facilities and stuff.

On my first day when I stepped foot in the LCCT, my parents and I took the Air Asia bus to KL Sentral. After I found my seat in the bus, I came to know that behind me were a family of four. The parents were seated behind my mum and I while their two daughters were seated on the same row on the other side of the bus. From their conversation, I assume that they are from Australia. And no, they are not Caucasians, they are Indians. Travelling for such a long distance gets boring at times. That's why I... well... not to say eavesdrop, but I just "accidentally" listened to their conversation.

There was one part where we crossed a highway where there are little hills along it.

Wife: Ooohh... The hills look lovely. But the litter is terrible. Look.
Husband: Yeah. They Malaysian Government find it hard to educate their citizens.

There was also another part where we passed Mid Valley.
Wife: (talking to her daughter) Hey look! It's Mid Valley. It's one of the largest shopping malls in Malaysia. It has an area of 430 m X yada.. yada.. yada..

And I thought, Wow! This woman sure did her homework before coming here!

Well, there are a lot of other bits where I find interesting but after such a long time, I just forgot about it. Haha, getting old I guess.

Anyway, wish you all have a blessed new year and good luck in the new year of Ox!
